Market Square
Little
Hall, in the Market Place, is one of the oldest buildings in Lavenham. The
earliest part, that with the gable end, is dated late 1300s, the hall house
section (with windows rising the height of the building) early to middle 1400s,
and the north wing late 1600s.
When the cloth industry failed in the late
1600s, Little Hall was divided into six tenements and remained so until the
early 1920s.
